Welcome aboard the official website of Largs Model Boat Club, established in 1996.
Over that time, the club has most certainly evolved. When the club was founded in 1996, it had only a handful of members and few resources. Almost 30 years later our club has dozens of members, an exceptionally well equipped clubhouse and a well developed reputation as one of Largs' notable attractions at the Northern end of our town's idyllic promenade.

However, when weather and conditions are favourable, our club will often be open longer than the above hours and even on other days the pond may host members and their models.
Our members display a large variety of different radio-controlled model vessels from the very popular 6-metre class yachts to scale tugs, Clyde puffers, speedboats, Naval models and just about every other kind of model boat one can imagine!
Please note that anyone who has a radio-controlled model boat is more than welcome to sail it on the pond, and indeed, we are always welcoming new members to our club.
Every year, we have our Open Day, usually on the last Sunday of the Largs Viking Festival. This year's Open Day will be on Sunday 8th September from 11am.
